The Bungalow Pit

The foundation guys are prepping to pour the cement in the alley on the side of the house today. Thank god I’ve been taking so many pictures along the way and caught what they were doing before they poured the cement! I was able to show them how it was before they tore it up.

They were going to fill the whole thing with cement, from wall to house, and we wanted space to plant things on both sides of the walk way. These are the moments that instill constant paranoia—critical decisions being made without consultation.
